Dr. Caron Goode has shaped all of her professional endeavors into an educational program for training and certifying parents and professionals in supporting families through parent coaching. She has positioned the Academy for Coaching Parents International at the forefront of the global parent coaching movement to support connection and empowerment.
She brings compassion and clarity in assisting others to effect lasting transformation through coaching, books, and seminars. She is the author fifteen books; the most recent is the award-winning Raising Intuitive Children (2009) and Kids Who See Ghosts (2010), an international best-seller on Amazon.
She’s quoted often as a parenting-coaching expert and her articles have appeared in over 300 publications globally; including Colorado Parent, Convergence, North Texas Parent, Calgary Parent, The American Chronicle, Working Woman, Black Family Digest, Inspired Parenting, Mothering, and Better Homes and Gardens.
Caron’s is a frequent radio show guest speaking on topics like Heartwise Parenting, The Intuitives, Coaching Skills for Parents, Optimizing Talents, Focused-Marketing for Coaching Businesses and Infopreneur Product Development – from blog to book.
In addition to directing the Academy of Coaching International (ACPI), Caron also manages Heart Wise Parenting which provides strategies for parenting the whole child based upon the new science of parenting and neuropsychology or applying brain-based behaviors. This holistic approach supports children’s physical health, emotional fluency, mental development, and spiritual enrichment. She also founded Intuitive Parenting & Intuitive Children web site which offers specialized training for parents and parent coaches.
Caron graduated with a Doctoral Degree from George Washington University and completed post-doctoral certifications in Wellness and Women’s Spirituality at the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology. She is a pediatric and family psychotherapist who she holds the titles of National Certified Counselor and Diplomat of the American Psychotherapy Association. She is the author of fifteen books, 5 E-books, and 32 educational programs for parents and parenting coaches. Caron draws her insights from over fifteen years in private psychotherapy practice and thirty years’ experience in the fields of education, personal empowerment, and therapy. These professional experiences and her personal experiences as a parent create Caron’s refreshing and unique parenting approach, grounded in science yet easy and practical for parents to follow.
Caron, with her husband Tom Goode, ND, currently manages and directs the International Breath Institute, an educational and training organization that offers health and lifestyle management seminars and certification. She and her husband live in California. She is the mother of one daughter.
